How many times have you attended a function and been served dry mini quiches, flaky sausage rolls or partly frozen party pies? It might be a quick and easy meal option but one that can often leave you wanting for more; more flavour, nutrition and love.

At Talking Turkey we excite your appetite with our signature gourmet canapés – an international selection made from scratch using fresh and local produce. Our presentation is beautiful and artistic, there’s loads of flavour and we make sure no one goes home hungry.  Our signature canapé parties are a delightful way to win your guests’ hearts. While you mingle and entertain, it is our absolute pleasure to take care of the catering.

Prepared and assembled fresh on site, our canapés will reflect the mood and theme of your function and deliver the ‘wow’ factor in terms of style and taste. Classic favourites and gourmet parcels of goodness will satisfy both the foodies and the fusspots. We also provide great vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Our canapés are suitable for all occasions; wedding parties, corporate events, birthday celebrations, baby showers, anniversaries, bucks and hens nights, house warmings, office parties and more.

Robyn Wheatley | 50th Birthday Canapé Party

As a private chef, I understand each client has their own budget and I am specialised in creating the menus to your budget without cutting the corners on the quality of the food. 

Canape Menus  require a minimum of 6 different savoury options, however for longer events 7 options is recommended to ensure there is a substantial amount of food and is appropriate to replace a sit down meal.  

Canape Menu prices start from $40pp Prices based on minimum 50 people.  

Smaller groups are welcome – price on application, as surcharge will apply.  

Prices include menu consultation, Chef Santosh, ingredients, food prepared, and cooked fresh on-site, disposable napkins, cooking utensils, washing and cleaning up.  

Depending on venue and kitchen facilities, additional kitchen hire equipment such as commercial BBQ, oven, trestle tables, crockery, cutlery, etc. may need to be hired.  

Wait staff and bar staffs are charge at $30 per hour (minimum 4 hours). 

Prices include GST and are valid until 30th June 2018. 

The ultimate Dinner Party

Our ultimate dinner party experience brings the restaurant into your home. Suited to a more formal setting, your meal is prepared from scratch in your kitchen while you sit back, relax, mingle and enjoy.

Chef Santosh will meet with you  prior to the night to design your theme and menu. With Talking Turkey, you can be involved as much as you care to be, selecting straight from our Classic, Executive or Deluxe dinner menus or being involved in every detail.

Together, you can  get creative and customise a menu designed perfectly for you and your budget. If cooking is a passion and you would like to assist or  pick up a few secrets while you watch your chef prepare, we will have an apron at the ready.

My family recently shared a wonderful special night to remember while on holiday in Noosa. We were there to celebrate my mum’s birthday and upon rave recommendations from a friend, we decided to arrange a surprise dinner party with our personal chef Santosh. As our parents were soon to travel to India we chose an Indian Banquet as the theme  His passion for food was obvious, his friendly nature and laugh infectious, and his talent slowly unfolded. We would thoroughly recommend Santosh for a dining experience in the comfort of your own holiday accommodation or home.

The Degustation Menus showcase the best of modern Australian cuisine, utilising gourmet ingredients from the Sunshine Coast Queensland and around the world. Personally designed by Chef Santosh, this is the absolute finest in culinary experiences. We create a tempting menu of up to 10 courses personalised to your taste. Each menu is priced on the selection of dishes and number of guests.

Talking Turkey’s degustation dining has become a popular variety of private dinner parties as it includes small but plentiful portions for guests to enjoy. It’s an exciting alternative to any event or celebration. Our signature seven and ten course degustation menus are carefully and specifically constructed just for you. Chef Santosh puts to work his incredible skills to create magical culinary works of art. Ordering the degustation option is a great way to an Exceptional Culinary Experience.

The aim being that you may graze your way through a selection of dishes reflecting the best of produce available from the markets and our network of dedicated suppliers. Menus are seasonally crafted, offering intricate, contemporary exciting dishes. Our aim is to constantly be inventive, drawing influences from season, flavour, aroma and texture.

My family was privileged, thanks to my son’s organisation, to have Santosh from Talking Turkey prepare an unforgettable culinary experience on Mother’s Day at our home in Mooloolaba. I had no idea this was happening until the doorbell rang and Santosh arrived with numerous boxes containing everything required to prepare the 10 course degustation menu we were going to enjoy. I even got to help with some of the prep and learn a few tricks of the trade. Every course was to die for – from the combination of flavors to the amazing presentation – there was nothing that could be faulted.

Involves sampling a variety of chef’s signature dishes in one sitting, which are individually plated and served over 5-7 courses as a formal sit down meal. 

This style of menu provides an intimate and high-end dining atmosphere. 

5 Course Small Plate Menu – $115pp 

6 Course Small Plate Menu – $125pp 

7 Course Small Plate Menu – $135pp 

Prices based on minimum 15 people. Smaller groups are very welcome – price on application. 

This style of menu is suited to group sizes up to 20 people.

We had the best experience with Santosh at a private house in Noosa recently. He made amazing tapas dishes for us and then a chicken curry to die for. He made our experience fun and entertaining, he was very professional and he cleaned all the mess and left us with a clean kitchen. Need to book again next year for our annual get together. “Best idea for a dinner party ever!”

Santosh is a great guy and an awesome chef!! He turned up and took care of everything, cleaning up included!! The food was amazing, hard to pick a favourite but his pork belly is amazing! I could have eaten the whole thing if he let me. This was a first home chef experience for us and I can see now why famous people have them full time. Best idea for a dinner party ever!
